Rome has two commercial airports, Fiumicino and Ciampino. These plans cover terminals, boarding areas, gate levels and car parks.
Leonardo da Vinci airport at Fiumicino, code FCO, is Rome's main airport. Its terminals have changed over the years: the former Terminal 5 has been absorbed into Terminal 3, and Terminal 2 closed for good on 15 December 2017 to make room for the expansion of Terminal 1. Today only Terminals 1 and 3 operate, but older plans of the closed buildings remain useful as a record.
Terminal 1 serves mainly domestic and Schengen traffic, while Terminal 3 includes the satellite building used for non-Schengen departures. Inside, the plans show boarding areas lettered B to E, each divided over several levels with its own series of gates, shops and places to eat, so you can see how far a gate lies from the check-in hall before you travel.
Ciampino, code CIA, is Rome's second airport, about 12 km south-south-east of the city centre and just outside the Grande Raccordo Anulare. It has a single one-storey terminal for arrivals and departures. The three plans here cover that terminal and the surrounding car parks, with Via Appia Nuova as the main road access, and the plans name the entrances and the pay points.
