An old plan of the Esquiline puts the Gardens of Maecenas among the Baths of Trajan and Titus, the Domus Aurea and the Colosseum.
Besides the Gardens of Maecenas, the labelled features include the Baths of Trajan, the Baths of Titus, the Domus Aurea, the Colosseum and a stretch of the Servian Wall. The sheet shows how closely these large monuments sat on one hill.
