Grottarossa is framed by a great Tiber loop to the east, with the Ponte di Castel Giubileo at the top and Quartiere Tor di Quinto at the bottom.
A pink block of numbered plots lies inside the bend, and an orange road traces a long curve around the hatched hills at left. Labaro and Val Melaina are named on the neighbouring edges.
